Our client is a leading technology player in Smart Lighting, Smart Cities and Smart Parking and was looking for a Key Account Manager to expand throughout Europe. The main challenge with this assignment was finding a candidate with no more than 10 years experience but autonomous and self-starter willing to work from home with the ability to support and grow assigned large accounts but also to identify new opportunities. The medium range is always the most difficult to source.
With the support of our Consulting team and thanks to our in-depth knowledge of most Industry players, we knew about on-going re-organization and directly approached candidates from our network who we knew were ready to make a career move. More specifically:
We worked hand in hand with our Client on defining the hard and soft skills required for the role and aligning the expectations internally.
With some precise candidates in mind, we assisted in defining the most adequate remuneration package and legal employment framework.
As for many human ressources decisions, the recruitment was delayed due to internal constraints and we managed to keep the momentum with the shortlisted candidates and keep them engaged.
We did an in-depth assessment of the final candidate’s professional behavior and personality to help predict his future performance, identifying the areas of concerns and the type of management that would best support his success in the role.
We helped the candidate with his on-boarding process, giving him valuable insights into Europe’s key Smart City projects, competitors landscape and partners’ options.
