Data Science Tool and Services Help Cielis Win Paris’ Street Lights Tender
Context
Cielis, a consortium led by Citelum (EDF) and Eiffage, was preparing a bid to secure a 10 years contract for the retrofit, operation and maintenance of Paris’ 180 000 streetlights and traffic management equipment.
Challenge
To win this tender Cielis had the challenge to develop a business case which optimized the retrofit budget to ensure cost-effectiveness, while proposing a solution that optimized assets age and maximized energy savings.
Deliverables & Outcomes
Kurrant’s experts worked closely with Cielis to tailor an analytical software solution which helped addressing this challenge. The asset data management software developed by Kurrant coupled to our data management expertise allowed for accurate predictions of asset lifecycles and energy consumption trends resulting in a refined retrofit budget proposal, optimized asset replacement schedules, and a compelling business case enabling Cielis to submit the best offer and be awarded the project.
