City of Aosta selects ENGIE for Sustainable Public Lighting

The City of Aosta, in Italy, is partnering with ENGIE on a 20-year contract to renovate and ensure the management of its public lighting network, including traffic lights, with an investment of 4.6 million euros. With the upgrade, the city aims to reduce energy consumption by 80% and prevent the emission of over 20,000 tons of CO2 over the contract period. Starting in early 2024, the initiative involves upgrading 70 kilometres of electrical lines, installing over 6,000 new streetlamps with control systems, and enhancing the illumination of key historical sites and monuments.
