Nashville Partners with Automotus for Smart Loading Zones

Los Angeles-based Automotus, in collaboration with the Nashville Department of Transportation and Multimodal Infrastructure (NDOT), is launching Smart Loading Zones in downtown Nashville. A Smart Loading Zone is an area equipped with sensors that dynamically manage curbside access, charging vehicles based on their time spent loading or unloading. This initiative, stemming from Nashville’s Connect Downtown curb management study should improve traffic flow. This effort aims to support Nashville’s Vision Zero goals to eliminate traffic-related fatalities and enhance downtown accessibility.
