Italgas has selected five startups to collaborate on its ‘Ideas 4 Italgas’ innovation programme, aimed at advancing digital transformation and sustainability across its operations. Chosen from over 60 applicants, these startups will develop proof-of-concept projects in partnership with Italgas, gaining access to mentorship, laboratories, and a six-month incubation programme at Politecnico di Torino’s I3P.
The selected startups include:
- Sikuro (Bergamo): Provides AI-powered IoT devices for real-time safety monitoring in high-risk industrial environments.
- Pix4D (Switzerland): Offers photogrammetry solutions for precise 3D modeling of infrastructure to enhance asset management.
- Enivibes (Milan): Develops IoT sensors for real-time pipeline monitoring to detect leaks and optimise maintenance.
- Sensoworks (Rome): Creates AI-based predictive monitoring platforms for critical infrastructure like bridges and viaducts.
- Wsense (Rome): Specialises in subsea IoT systems for environmental monitoring and underwater asset management.
Three additional finalists were recognised for their innovative contributions:
- Hypermeteo (Rome): Provides AI-driven, hyper-local weather forecasting for asset management.
- TimelapseLab (Mantua): Offers automated monitoring systems for construction sites to improve safety and productivity.
- Wescan (Bergamo): Delivers IoT-based solutions for real-time monitoring of critical infrastructure.
