Connexin and NYnet have partnered to extend their LoRaWAN wireless network in North Yorkshire, enhancing connectivity for Internet of Things (IoT) devices. This collaboration will add 57 gateways to support the deployment of Yorkshire Water‘s smart network for advanced metering infrastructure, aimed at reducing water leakage by 50% by 2050 and improving water efficiency. The expanded network will benefit various community services, including social care and public health. With an £80m investment from PATRIZIA, the project’s first phase is set to be completed by April 2024, promising significant advancements in digital infrastructure for the region.
