Hohonu Inc. is implementing a flood monitoring project in Maryland to enhance resilience against flooding in coastal areas around Chesapeake Bay. This initiative involves deploying up to 20 low-cost water level sensors funded by a grant through the University of Maryland. These sensors will provide real-time data to support emergency management and flood mitigation efforts. This deployment is part of a broader collaboration with the University of Maryland and the City of Annapolis. The project aims to improve predictive models and emergency responses by integrating data on water levels from these sensors. The project should not only supports local decision-making but also contribute to a larger network that enhances flood data resolution throughout the state and the eastern seaboard.
