Rogers and SenseNet have partnered to introduce advanced wildfire detection technology to 10 Canadian communities, starting in Alberta and British Columbia. The rollout will continue through early spring, with the goal of expanding the network further across the country.

Leveraging Rogers’ 5G network, SenseNet’s AI-powered system will use gas sensors, smoke detection cameras, and real-time data analysis to provide early wildfire alerts.

This solution is designed to detect wildfires at their earliest stages, enabling quicker response times and potentially reducing the scale of destruction. The technology has already been successfully deployed in Vernon, BC, where it has helped firefighters respond more rapidly to incidents, minimizing damage.
