SERFIM T.I.C. have secured a significant contract with Eaux du Grand Lyon to replace hundreds of obsolete dataloggers and provide Mobil’Eau metering cases for professional users. As part of the ambitious Dig Tour 2024 project, the companies are implementing Internet of Things (IoT) solutions for real-time monitoring, involving a considerable investment in state-of-the-art connected dataloggers linked to water meters. This technology upgrade aims to enhance the leak detection capabilities and ensure the reliability of drinking water supply across Lyon.
In addition to the dataloggers, the project includes upgrading Mobil’Eau cases, which involve integrating GPS and remote reading systems into existing meters. This upgrade utilizes the low-power NB-IoT network, an alternative to the outdated 2G network, to monitor water consumption.
