Telefónica Tech’s IoT Project Aims for 20% Water Savings in Seville

In Spain, Telefónica Tech is partnering with Contazara to connect over 300,000 water meters for EMASESA, the water utility in Seville, using NB-IoT technology. The goal of the four-year project, part of EMASESA’s Digital Transformation Plan, is to optimize water management by achieving annual savings of 20% and enhance customer service through hourly consumption data. Over 100,000 meters are already connected, and the initiative will include over 41,500 concentrators.
