This $620 million initiative, filed in November 2021, is part of the company’s electricity system modernization efforts to replace outdated AMR drive-by read meters with advanced smart meters. Eversource is expecting substantial benefits, including operational efficiencies and customer savings, estimating a benefit-cost ratio of 1.2 over 20 years.
