Recycle Track Systems (RTS), a specialist in waste and recycling management innovation, has raised over $40 million in a recent funding round to advance its AI-powered technologies. The investment, led by Edison Partners with participation from Volition Capital, StepStone Capital Partners, and other stakeholders, will support RTS’s expansion across the U.S. and Canada.

A key component of RTS’s innovation is Pello, an AI-based sensor that provides real-time data on container contents, fill levels, contamination, temperature, and location. This technology, paired with an intuitive dashboard, helps businesses optimize waste collection, track ESG commitments, and improve sustainability efforts.

RTS has also secured a ten-year contract in New York City, making it one of five companies selected for city-wide containerized services. Collaborating with local haulers, RTS aims to enhance waste diversion and operational efficiency across all five boroughs.

The funding will further RTS’s mission to integrate AI-driven solutions into municipal systems, aligning with national sustainability goals and driving the transition to a cleaner, more efficient waste management future.
