Mobilize, Renault Group’s mobility brand, and Autostrade per l’Italia (ASPI), Italy’s main motorway operator, have partnered to install 100 ultra-fast EV charging points across Italy’s highway network by 2025.

The stations, located at ASPI service areas, will initially offer four chargers each with up to 400 kW power output, with potential expansion based on demand. The project aligns with Italy’s National Recovery and Resilience Plan, which aims for 21,000 public charging points on major routes by 2026, as well as EU sustainability goals requiring charging stations every 60 km on key transport networks.

The collaboration, approved by Italy’s Ministry of Enterprises and Made in Italy, combines Mobilize’s EV charging expertise with ASPI’s 3,000 km highway network. Additional services, such as integrated toll and charging payments, will also be developed.

Mobilize operates charging solutions in 28 European countries, while ASPI manages nearly half of Italy’s toll highways, serving 4 million daily users.
