City Green Light, the largest private public lighting operator in Italy, has acquired Smart Parking Systems, a spin-off of Intercomp focused on parking management technology. This acquisition is part of City Green Light’s broader strategy to expand its role in smart cities and mobility. The company currently manages around 15,000 parking spaces across 80 locations.
This deal marks their second M&A move in 2024 and builds on their earlier purchase of Termotecnica Sebina that aims to strengthens City Green Light’s strategy to become a key partner for public administrations. By offering integrated solutions that go beyond lighting, such as transport and infrastructure management, the company wants to position itself as the preferred provider of energy efficiency services.
Projects by Smart Parking Systems include the smart parking installation in Treviso and international projects such as a 3,000-space installation in Pafos, Cyprus. The acquisition aligns with City Green Light’s industrial plan to enhance its competitiveness in energy efficiency services.
