Macquarie Group is committing £20 billion to UK infrastructure, focusing on energy, utilities, transport, waste, and digital projects across England, Wales, and Scotland. This investment includes a nationwide rollout of fast-charging EV stations, with Roadchef set to install 650 charging points at motorway service areas, some powered by 9 MW of solar energy. The plan also supports heavy goods vehicle charging solutions and expands infrastructure with projects like 5 GW of offshore wind, new solar power, digital broadband expansion, and essential upgrades to the gas and water networks.
