Mexico City and Monterrey are rolling out advanced water infrastructure projects with Xylem and Amazon to tackle leaks and improve supply for residents. Using Xylem Vue, a data-driven platform for leak detection and pressure management, the initiatives are expected to save more than 1.3 billion liters of water annually, around 800 million liters in Mexico City and 560 million in Monterrey.

The technology aims to reduce water loss, extend infrastructure efficiency, and strengthen resilience in a region facing persistent drought.

Amazon’s involvement forms part of its global water replenishment program, while Monterrey expands its existing deployment to include new districts, including areas serving low-income communities.
