Nîmes, France, has opened its urban hypervision operational centre, which had a cost of over one million euros and is located in a 600m² area within the technical services centre. The facility uses 1,300 surveillance cameras, including 469 in city streets and 175 in municipal buildings. Operated by 50 agents and equipped with 74 screens, it integrates services like video protection, municipal police command, user reporting, traffic regulation, and a flood alert system. Additionally, it boosts smart city functions like real-time traffic analysis, parking enforcement, and environmental management, contributing to Nîmes’ smart city efficiency.
