Qualcomm Technologies has completed its acquisition of Autotalks, a specialist in vehicle-to-everything (V2X) communication solutions. The move aims to strengthens Qualcomm’s Snapdragon Digital Chassis portfolio with production-ready V2X technology designed to improve road safety, traffic efficiency, and automated driving.

V2X enables direct communication between vehicles and their surroundings, helping reduce collisions and enhance transportation systems. With expertise in DSRC and C-V2X standards Autotalks wants tosupport global deployments across cars, infrastructure, and two-wheelers.

Founded in 2008, Autotalks developed the first dedicated V2X chipset and will now integrate its solutions into Qualcomm’s automotive offerings. The acquisition aligns with Qualcomm’s long-term investment in V2X technology, aiming to accelerate adoption for connected and autonomous vehicles.
