Colorado-based ROC has unveiled a new public security deployment in Marion County, West Virginia, introducing its Smart Cities solutions to aid local law enforcement and first responders.
The initiative utilizes ROC’s Vision AI, smart sensors, and edge devices to provide real-time security monitoring. According to a company release, these technologies aim to enhance public safety, deliver critical situational awareness, supply actionable intelligence, and improve emergency response times in the county.
ROC’s advanced features, including multimodal vehicle and facial recognition, gun detection, and real-time data analysis, will integrate with existing security systems like license plate readers and body cameras. The deployment will support various applications such as road safety enforcement, accident detection, parking and toll road monitoring, crime prevention, and crowd control.
Additionally, ROC’s technology is already deployed in Marion County’s public schools, featuring badgeless visitor management and gun detection systems. The project is backed by a $1 million grant from the Department of Justice.
Following a recent rebranding, ROC is emphasizing its American-made technology and strong NIST rankings to expand its presence in the U.S. government biometrics market.
