SUEZ and IOWIZMI, a subsidiary of GRDF, have signed a 10-year contract to share GRDF’s 169 MHz network used for 11 million smart gas meters. This partnership enables SUEZ to remotely read its water meters, simplifying access to multiservice remote reading for local authorities.
The deal supports large-scale water management while optimizing economic and environmental impacts. SUEZ, with 7 million smart water meters deployed globally, will leverage its ON’connect™ solution to improve leak detection and save up to 16% on water consumption.
Both companies are founding members of the WIZE Alliance, promoting the robust and royalty-free 169 MHz connectivity solution for efficient resource management.
