North has secured a £1.2 million contract from Westminster City Council to install 100 new CCTV cameras, integrating AI-based audio camera technology into the Genetec advanced security platform. This technology enables the detection of specific sounds and noises, triggering real-time alerts to the monitoring team. By operating this advanced CCTV network, the council aims to enhance real-time responses and evidence gathering to address anti-social behavior and crime effectively.
This initiative also involves a strategic collaboration with Hammersmith and Fulham Council, where the surveillance system will be monitored from a shared control center. This partnership facilitates the sharing of insights and resources between the neighboring councils, improving overall safety and accessibility. The project not only aims to bolster public safety but also optimizes resource utilization.
