The Comune di Verona and FAMAS SYSTEMS in collaboration with bitsensing, have launched an innovative traffic monitoring project at Porta Nuova in Verona as part of the K-City Network Project, initiated by Korea’s Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, and Transport. The installation of 10 TIMOS sensors, valued at approximately $1,000 each, will optimize traffic flow at this critical intersection serving over 700,000 residents.
The project, one of six selected internationally this year, integrates real-time traffic analysis through bitsensing’s AI-powered TraXight software. This system provides the City of Verona with detailed traffic data, helping to reduce congestion and improve safety. Alongside Verona, the K-City Network project includes pilot initiatives in the United States, Indonesia, Vietnam, and other locations, emphasizing global smart city collaboration.
