Bpifrance, the French public investment bank, along with its fund Lac1, has announced an €800 million investment in Veolia, a global leader in ecological transformation. The deal, finalized under a shareholder agreement, includes plans to appoint a Bpifrance representative to Veolia’s Board of Directors, pending approval at the next General Meeting. The representative will also join Veolia’s Accounts and Audit Committee and the Research, Innovation, and Sustainable Development Committee.
The partnership aims to enhance sustainable value creation, supporting the resilience and competitiveness of industries and communities amid climate challenges. The move aligns with Lac1 and Bpifrance’s strategy to back French multinationals with strong value-creation potential and the ability to address contemporary global issues.
