The B.C. Centre for Innovation and Clean Energy (CICE) is launching Canada’s first innovation call focused on wildfire technologies on May 30th, 2024. Up to $3 million in non-dilutive investment will be awarded to innovators in British Columbia developing solutions for wildfire management.
Key areas include:
- Prevention: Predictive modeling, proactive land management, and fire-resistant materials.
- Mitigation: Early detection, communication tech, sustainable fire retardants, and specialized equipment.
- Adaptation: Forest and community resiliency, post-fire recovery, and climate change adaptation strategies.
