Carbondale Fire Department is partnering with Pano AI for early fire detection using panoramic cameras costing $50,000 a pair. they will install panoramic cameras on Pitkin County’s Elephant Mountain tower to scan for smoke signs 24/7. The technology is already used by Aspen Fire Department since 2020, for early wildfire detection and resource allocation optimization.
