ConnectM Technology Solutions has acquired MHz Invensys, a developer of wireless communication products, in an all-stock transaction. The deal includes MHz Invensys’ intellectual property assets, and its founders will join ConnectM as part of the agreement.
The acquisition is expected to strengthen ConnectM’s offerings in smart metering and Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI), which enables real-time, two-way communication between utility providers and smart meters. This technology supports efficient monitoring of electricity, gas, and water consumption.
MHz Invensys is known for its RF mesh-based solutions, which are designed to handle large-scale smart meter networks and bidirectional communication for pre-payment systems.
ConnectM anticipates the acquisition will contribute an additional $15 million in revenue from the AMI sector by 2027. The integration of MHz Invensys’ technology is also expected to support expansion into related markets, such as solar grid monitoring, IoT, and renewable energy applications.
ConnectM specializes in AI-driven solutions for building electrification, distributed energy, and transportation. The acquisition aligns with its focus on delivering efficient and sustainable communication solutions.
