Fluvius Launches Eco-Smart LED Lighting Upgrade in Belgium

Fluvius, Belgium’s largest grid operator, has partnered up with Itron and Lightwell for a smart street lighting solution. The utility is looking to upgrade over 1 million streetlamps to LED by 2028, reducing CO2 emissions and energy consumption. Itron’s solution, combined with Lightwell’s Luxis luminaires, are expected to offer a seamless remote configuration and enhance energy efficiency. Managed through Itron’s Streetlight.Vision software, the project is set to include automated asset management, flexible scheduling and rapid failure detection across 300 Flemish municipalities.
