The Municipality of Genoa has selected the Kooling platform to manage and process large-scale mobility data, focusing initially on Home-Work and Home-School travel patterns. As part of the “Genoa Smart City” project, Kooling’s advanced data analytics will support the city in enhancing travel efficiency and sustainability through real-time data collection and AI-driven insights.

In the first phase, Kooling will aid the municipality, AMT, and local companies in drafting Home-Work Travel Plans (PSCL). By using machine learning algorithms and predictive analytics, the platform will analyze commuter data to optimize traffic flow, reduce congestion, and improve environmental impact. This also supports compliance with Legislative Decree 179/2021, which mandates companies with over 100 employees to create sustainable mobility plans.

Kooling’s platform integrates with corporate mobility systems, providing the Municipality with a comprehensive database and dashboard for monitoring travel patterns. The platform’s API should facilitate real-time data sharing, enabling better coordination between public and private entities. The system will also automate environmental accounting, offering insights into carbon footprint reduction and enabling companies to implement effective corporate welfare solutions.

This partnership aims to accelerate the adoption of smart mobility solutions, with the goal of permanently reducing urban vehicle traffic and promoting sustainable, tech-driven transport initiatives across Genoa.
