A network of 30 air quality monitoring sensors has been installed around Jersey as part of the Breathe Jersey initiative by Thrive Jersey. These sensors will collect near real-time data to help islanders make informed decisions about motor vehicle use and support research. Historically, air quality monitoring was limited by government resources, prompting the formation of Breathe Jersey. Working with the Environment Department and supplier Clarity, the initiative leverages a global network for positive change. The project is funded by Impact Jersey, a government grant scheme promoting technological benefits for the island.
