The London Office for Technology and Innovation (LOTI) has initiated a project to combat damp and mould in homes using Internet of Things (IoT) sensors. This initiative is a component of the broader Pan London IoT Project, extending from the South London Partnership’s InnOvaTe program. The focus of this first project in the LOTI series is to identify the causes of dampness and mould, understand its prevalence across London, and establish a foundation for housing improvements and remediations. Initially, 200 sensors will be distributed across 18 boroughs to monitor issues and interpret data effectively. This project will also include developing a pan-London platform to consolidate the data, aimed at supporting public health, property retrofitting, and housing policy
