Northumbrian Water is expanding its deployment of Vyntelligence’s agentic AI video intelligence platform across its northeast network to drive full asset optimisation. The solution enables both field teams and customers to capture short “show and tell” videos of asset conditions and incidents. These are processed using AI to extract insights, trigger automated workflows, and track resolution in near real-time.

The partnership, which builds on five years of collaboration, aims to shift asset management from reactive to predictive by integrating intelligent video workflows with Northumbrian Water’s existing systems. This is part of a broader strategy during the UK water industry’s current five-year investment cycle, its largest since privatisation, focused on addressing data fragmentation, labour shortages, and sustainability demands.

Previous deployments of Vyntelligence have helped the utility reduce performance penalties, speed up customer issue resolution, and cut operational costs through improved asset lifecycle management. The extended rollout is expected to strengthen field efficiency, enhance safety protocols, and deliver smarter decision-making at scale.
