Orange Business Launches Smart City Platform in KAFD

Orange Business has partnered with the King Abdullah Financial District Development and Management Company (KAFD DMC) to develop a smart city platform in Saudi Arabia’s KAFD district. This platform supposedly the “Swiss Army knife” of urban solutions should integrate existing digital technologies, AI, and data analytics. It aims to enhance areas from water supply to energy optimization in office buildings using big data and geolocation-based sentiment analysis. A digital twin feature should also help in optimizing architectural designs.
