Rekosistem, an Indonesian climate tech startup, secured US$5 million to enhance its IoT and Machine Learning-driven waste management system. Their facilities, Reko Waste Station and Reko Hub, convert waste into premium raw materials. Integral to the system’s efficiency, IoT sensors are installed in these facilities to facilitate real-time data collection and surveillance. Coupled with ML, the technology refines system analysis and optimization, ensuring waste is processed efficiently. They aim to process over 20,000 metric tons of waste monthly within two years.
