The City Council of Sant Cugat del Vallès has awarded Edison Next Spain a €2.1 million contract to manage and modernize the municipality’s public lighting and urban mobility infrastructure.
The one-year agreement, with an optional one-year extension, covers the maintenance and improvement of over 17,800 lighting points, 19,400 luminaires, 25 sports facilities, 38 traffic intersections, and more than 110 mobility cameras.
The project aims to enhance operational efficiency and sustainability through a centralized, intelligent management system that enables real-time monitoring and predictive maintenance.
Key upgrades include the phased introduction of high-efficiency LED lighting, remote management systems, and tools to reduce electricity consumption and associated emissions.
