More news, Britain has launched in beta the new Stream open data platform, led by Northumbrian Water and backed by various water suppliers and the Open Data InstituteEndorsed by the regulator Ofwat, the platform is set to promote open data sharing in the water sector, enhancing research, decision-making, and public awareness. Although still developing its categorization, Stream provides essential data like tap water and water quality metrics. The initiative aligns with the broader shift towards smart meter implementation and responsible data sharing, as guided by Ofwat, to drive innovation, improve customer experiences, and facilitate better decision-making in the water industry.
