Uniwater Boosts Nordic Presence with Strategic Acquisitions in Automation and Water Infrastructure

Swedish water-infrastructure group Uniwater has entered into agreements to acquire Norway-based Controlpartner AS and Danish companies WASYS and ACOWA, as part of its targeted growth strategy across the Nordic region.

The acquisition of Controlpartner AS (founded in 2015 with around 40 employees and offices in Porsgrunn, Bergen and Oslo) marks Uniwater’s fifth transaction in 2025 and its fifth operating company in Norway.  Controlpartner specialises in digitalisation and automation of municipal water and wastewater facilities as well as industrial processes.

In Denmark, Uniwater has agreed to acquire the sister companies WASYS and ACOWA, both founded in 2014 and based in Roskilde with some 19 employees, specialising in pump-control systems and instrumentation for the water cycle (public and private clients). These will be integrated into Uniwater’s “Flow” business segment.

The group currently employs around 600 people and had turnover of approximately SEK 2.2 billion (€190 million).  Financial details of the transactions (purchase price) were not disclosed, and the Danish acquisitions are expected to close in Q4 2025 subject to regulatory approval.

The deal expands Uniwater’s automation and system-solutions capabilities across water and wastewater infrastructure in the Nordics, and deepens its local presence in Norway and Denmark.
