The City Council of València awarded Urbiotica the contract for the second phase of its smart parking project. In collaboration with Pavapark, 2,000 new parking sensors will be installed, integrating with the city’s VLCi Smart City platform. This expansion aims to reduce traffic and pollution, enhance accessibility, and improve urban sustainability.

Meanwhile, the Provincial Council of València is advancing the Connecta València project. Nearly 4,000 smart sensors will be deployed across 266 municipalities to improve management in areas like environment, mobility, and tourism. Funded with 5 million euros from European funds, the program aims to create smart, sustainable tourist destinations by 2024 using AI for better decision-making.

The Provincial Council also supports smart city projects through grants, with 304 projects submitted this year and a budget increase planned for 2025.
