Vichy Community has partnered with Tiko, an Engie subsidiary, to install free smart thermostats in homes with electric heating. The initiative aims to help residents reduce energy costs, with potential savings of up to 25%. Around 8,700 households are eligible, with the first phase targeting 4,654 homes. Installation teams will begin door-to-door outreach in late June, with appointments available through the Vichy Community website.
The program aligns with a national mandate requiring electric heating systems to have energy-saving controls by January 2027.
