Atlantic City’s $1.4M Boost for License Plate Reader Network

Atlantic City is set to receive a $1.4 million boost for its automated license plate reader system, funding the addition of 120 new readers across the city. With the investment, from the Department of Community Affairs and the Casino Reinvestment Development Authority, the aim is to enhance law enforcement’s ability to tackle auto theft and other crimes by capturing and analyzing license plate data. The scheme is part of a broader effort to improve safety and security in the city.
