Italian national promotional and financial institution Cassa Depositi e Prestiti (CDP) has allocated €15 million to support sustainable development projects by ABC Napoli, the entity managing water services in the Naples area. The funding aims to enhance the efficiency of the city’s water network through digitalization, reducing water losses and improving service reliability.

Key initiatives include the installation of smart meters to monitor network performance, the introduction of a digital platform for network management and optimization, and the renovation of city fountains using advanced systems. Additionally, some water sections will be reconstructed.

The project, part of ABC Napoli’s broader “ABC4INNOVATION” initiative, focuses on transitioning to a smart water system for Naples. The effort aligns with CDP’s commitment to promoting sustainable water resource management, particularly in southern Italy. This project follows a 44 million euros project launched 2024.
