London-based Kraken, a platform specializing in digital solutions for utilities, has acquired Jedlix, a Rotterdam company known for its advanced EV charging technology. Jedlix, provides flexible and consumer-focused smart charging solutions, allowing electric vehicle (EV) owners to optimize charging costs and emissions. Jedlix’s network integrates with major EV and charger manufacturers, including Renault, Polestar, Kia, and Hyundai, as well as energy companies like Engie and Vattenfall.
With this acquisition, Kraken aims to expand its offerings in demand management by providing utility clients with tools for custom EV tariffs and efficient power use. Jedlix’s facility in Rotterdam will be transformed into a Kraken technology hub, which will support the development of smart charging services and digital tools for utilities across Europe. Kraken’s platform currently serves large energy companies such as EDF Energy and Octopus Energy, managing over 50 million accounts and thousands of devices, from EV chargers to grid-scale batteries.
