LG CNS is advancing its smart city initiatives in the U.S., securing contracts to develop next-generation infrastructure in New York City and Hogansville, Georgia. These projects mark the company’s official entry into the U.S. public sector.

In New York, LG CNS will deploy electric vehicle (EV) charging stations and an integrated control system at the Brooklyn Army Terminal as part of a pilot with the New York City Economic Development Corporation. The project will use LG CNS’s IoT-based Cityhub Building platform to manage power usage, equipment diagnostics, and digital signage. A mobile app will allow users to reserve chargers, check real-time status, and receive availability alerts. Future plans include ultra-fast chargers and energy storage systems across the city.

In Georgia, LG CNS will install smart poles in Hogansville, equipped with EV chargers, AI-powered CCTV, public Wi-Fi, environmental sensors, and emergency call buttons. The infrastructure aims to improve safety, convenience, and urban planning. The project could expand to nearby cities like LaGrange and West Point.
