Netmore and Cellnex Expand UK LoRaWAN for Smart Water Metering

Netmore Group has partnered with Cellnex UK to extend LoRaWAN network coverage across the UK by installing gateways on Cellnex’s streetworks monopole infrastructure. After an initial deployment on 20 sites, the agreement expands installations to an additional 200 locations, supporting Netmore’s Automated Metering Infrastructure (AMI) rollout for regional water utilities under the AMP8 regulatory framework. This rollout includes a significant project with Yorkshire Water, where 1.3 million water meters will be connected in one of Europe’s largest LoRaWAN metering initiatives.

Through Cellnex UK’s sustainable asset-sharing model, which enables equipment co-location across thousands of sites, this partnership should reduce deployment costs while enhancing connectivity. Netmore aims to expand the partnership to increase coverage for efficient water metering and other IoT applications, with the shared infrastructure model helping achieve a cost-effective and scalable deployment.
