Portos de Galicia, under the Consellería do Mar, will soon begin renovating exterior lighting at Vilanova de Arousa’s port. The project, with a budget of €240,000, is part of a larger €3 million plan to upgrade lighting across ports in Galicia’s coastal provinces.

The work will replace 350 light fixtures to reduce environmental and light pollution while improving visibility for workers and visitors. The new system will feature remote-controlled regulation and is expected to cut energy costs by 60%. The upgrades aim to enhance operational efficiency and sustainability in the port area.
