The City of Puebla in Mexico has joined the Waze for Cities program to enhance traffic management through real-time data exchange.
As part of the initiative, the local government will report road closures due to construction or incidents, while users of the Waze app can contribute by flagging potholes, traffic accidents, and malfunctioning traffic lights.
The partnership, which includes updates every two minutes, aims to support faster municipal response and better identify traffic problem zones. The collaboration was officially announced at the Smart City event held in June at the Centro Expositor.
