The UK government has allocated 4.8 million pounds to fund four vehicle-to-everything, V2X, projects. The funding aims to support schemes that integrate bidirectional charging, which enables electric vehicle charging at lower electricity prices and allows potential earnings by supplying energy back to the grid. The projects include a 3-socket bidirectional charger by Hangar19, a bidirectional charging hub with solar canopy by 3ti, a trial of a bidirectional EV charger for fleet operators by Otasaki Energy Solutions, and a wireless V2X technology trial for Royal Mail delivery vehicles by Electric Green Limited.
