Waste Robotics, a Canadian firm specializing in AI-powered sorting robots, has secured $7 million from Mirova and Fondaction to bolster its presence in Europe and North America. Founded in 2016, the company aims to make sorting centres nearly autonomous and improve worker conditions. With global waste predicted to increase 70% by 2050, innovative sorting solutions like theirs are vital. Keira Capital brokered the deal, following a $3.5 million investment in 2021.
