The City of Perth has approved a AUD $313 million budget, aimed at supporting population growth, urban transformation, and long-term sustainability.

Smart city and safety-related funding includes AUD $5.5 million dedicated to enhancing community safety through expanded CCTV networks, increased patrols, and improved street lighting. These initiatives aim to make public spaces more secure and accessible, particularly as the city plans for a population increase of over 20,000 residents by 2036.
