Project Scope
- Deployment of an IoT-based pedestrian flow monitoring system in Cartagena, including the supply, installation, and integration of sensors and analytics to measure, analyze, and manage real-time and historical footfall and mobility patterns across key urban locations.
Smart Technology
- IoT network of pedestrian monitoring sensors deployed across multiple city locations (5 double devices)
- Smart Spot Crowd devices using WiFi and Bluetooth detection to capture footfall data
- AI-based data analytics module for processing and generating mobility insights
- Integration with the Smart Region platform (regional smart city platform)
- Real-time data transmission via 3G/4G/NB-IoT connectivity
- Use of standardized IoT protocols (MQTT, FIWARE NGSI, OMA LwM2M) for interoperability
- Centralized data platform with API-based integration and data broker capabilities
- Real-time visualization tools (dashboards, heatmaps, geolocation, analytics)
- Remote device management and firmware updates (over-the-air configuration)
- Data anonymization mechanisms (hashing of WiFi/BLE identifiers for GDPR compliance)
