Sartel, an Axione group subsidiary specializing in digital development, in partnership with Sarthe Numérique, is deploying a LoRaWAN network in the french department of Sarthe as part of a broader digital enhancement initiative aimed at creating connected and sustainable territories. This €2.5 million investment will facilitate optimized management of resources, including water and waste, and improve energy efficiency in public lighting and buildings throughout the department. By February 2024, 210 LoRaWAN radio gateways are anticipated to be operational, and the network will be impartially open to all IoT service integrators.
